Day 14, Thursday June 6th:
The morning started at 6am when Adam and Dan went surfing
with Keith following along to take pictures.
Although the two are far from experts at the sport, they still
experienced some success.
Dan left for work and Jeremy joined the other two for breakfast again at Leilani’s. After breakfast it was off to the San Diego Zoo for a full day of seeing animals of all different kinds. Some of the highlights were the polar bears, panda bears, koala bears, and much more.
From there Dan joined us and we headed back to Torrie Pines to film Jake the paraglider, who we had met the day before. Keith set up the tripod and hooked up the GoPro to Jake and he took off.
Lucky for us two others joined him, and we were later told those three were considered some of the best in the area. We spent a couple of hours watching them glide through the sky while doing tricks in the air and close to the ground.
Afterwards the four of us grabbed dinner at a local pub and stopped for froyo on the way home. Back at Dan’s we enjoyed a few beers, some laughs, and some friendly games of Dominos with his roommate Lenny and a German surfer named Jan who was passing through the area. A busy and successful day all around.
